NGTL GP Ltd. Central Alberta Systems Mainline Modifications

Project Background

NGTL GP Ltd. (NGTL GP), as general partner on behalf of NGTL Limited Partnership filed a Project Notification for the Central Alberta System Mainline Modifications (Project). The Project will consist of the installation of a new control valve and approximately 80 metres (m) of nominal pipe size (NPS) 42 pipe and 20 m of NPS 20 pipe to construct a crossover to facilitate the redistribution of gas from the high pressure Lonepine Section to the lower pressure Carstairs Section. The Project will be located on both freehold lands in SE 21–030–02 W5M and SW 22–030–02 W5M approximately 8 kilometers northwest of Carstairs, Alberta, in Mountain View County. The Project will require the acquisition of approximately 1.09 hectares of permanent new land. Project construction is planned to commence in January 2026, with a planned in-service date of April 2026.
