NGTL GP Ltd. – Whiskey Jack Lake Ethane Extraction Plant Tie-in

Project Background

NGTL GP Ltd. (NGTL GP), as general partner on behalf of NGTL Limited Partnership, has filed a project notification for the Whiskey Jack Lake Ethane Extraction Plant Tie–in (Project). The proposed Project would be located entirely on Crown lands within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alberta, approximately 75 km northwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta. It involves construction of pipelines, fittings, and valves for both natural gas supply and return tie–in connections between NGTL GP's Fort McKay Mainline and an NGTL System customer’s new extraction facility. The Project’s supply tie–in piping would feed natural gas to the extraction facility, and the return tie–in piping would receive dry gas back from the customer following extraction of ethane and higher hydrocarbons. The expected application submission date for the Project is 18 March 2025.
