ORDER NO. SR-001-2013
IN THE MATTER OF THE NATIONAL ENERGY BOARD ACT,
AN ORDER UNDER SECTION 51.1
is employed by Canadian Natural Resources (CNR).
The undersigned National Energy Board inspection officer has noted the following:
The Knappen Border Pipeline and Associated Facilities (Pipeline) owned by DR Four Beat Energy Corp. and operated by CNR does not meet the requirements of section 32 of the National Energy Board Onshore Pipeline Regulations and the Board has issued Order SG-D081-01-2013 to DR Four Beat Energy Corp.
Based on the above mention, the inspection officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a hazard to the safety or security of the public, or employees of a company or a detriment to property or the environment is being or will be caused by the construction, operation, maintenance or abandonment of the pipeline.
Therefore, CNR is HEREBY ORDERED, pursuant to section 51.1 of the National Energy Board Act, to
Specified Measures:
- suspend the operation of the Pipeline in a safe manner.
- within 24 hours of completion of suspension of the pipeline, notify the inspection officer by telephone call or by e-mail that the suspension has been completed.
