Contact Us - CER Library
The Canada Energy Regulator Library provides access to CER, industry, and energy information. Our library collection is unique and some materials can only be accessed through us. We take great pride in collecting and preserving literature about the CER. Not only do we hold a full collection of all hearing materials, such as exhibits, hearing transcripts, and Reasons for Decision, we also have a complete collection of our reports, studies, and research papers.
The main collection consists of statutes, federal regulations, and decision documents from the CER and other jurisdictions, as well as books, annual reports, studies, reports, speeches, and standards. In addition, we collect directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and industry-related indexes in the reference collection, and documentaries and instructional videos in the audio visual collection. You’ll also find magazines and journals related to oil, gas, and electricity.
The public has access to a range of services offered by the library, including consultation of regulatory documents, copies of CER publications, and referrals to internal and external sources of information. While members of the public cannot borrow materials directly from us, many public, university, and corporate libraries may do so on an individual’s behalf through our inter-library loan service.
