Purpose: Introduce the Arctic Offshore Drilling Review to the Premier of Nunavut

NEB provided introductory remarks, which included a general overview of the scope and phases of the Arctic Offshore Drilling Review, the gathering and analysis of information, and the production of a report.
Follow the introductory comments, the Premier and her staff raised number of areas of interest and concern, including:
- the importance of engaging the public, including youth and elders, in the Arctic Review
- activities that occur on Nunavut lands and waters
- drilling that is taking place offshore Greenland and how it is being regulated, given the proximity to Nunavut
- offshore seismic activity that has occurred in the region, and future seismic programs that are planned for Nunavut
- the role and respective jurisdictions of the Nunavut Impact Review Board, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, and the National Energy Board in reviewing proposed offshore seismic and drilling activities in and adjacent to Nunavut
